Hello everyone and welcome to Carter Fartuch Racing! My name is Carter Fartuch and I am a 19 year old who has one goal and one dream, to become a professional race car driver.
I was born and raised in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania which is about 40 minutes north of Philadelphia and about 30 minutes south of the Poconos. Schnecksville is a very small town where I have been living my entire life. I currently live with both of my parents who fully support my dream. Without my parents I would not have been able to accomplish everything that I have. I wear a teal cancer ribbon on my helmets symbolizing my mother who was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer. She was told that she was not going to live, but because of her strong will and determination, she fought through it and left the doctor's speechless. That is the same mindset that I want to have and want to remember which is why it is on my helmet.
My racing bug all started with me watching racing as a young boy. I found it fascinating and I kept wondering how I could get into the racing world. As the years went by, my friends at school informed me about an indoor go karting track that opened up near my house, since they knew I liked racing. I immediately thought that this was an opportunity for me to get behind the wheel of something other than your basic boardwalk go karts. I was extremely nervous to go at first, but once i got behind the wheel I knew that this was something i wanted to do. Once the employees saw how well I was doing for my first time, they informed me about a junior league that they wanted me to participate in. I showed up for the race, got in the kart, and went out for qualifying. I surprised myself by getting the pole, and getting the race win! and it all started from there. That junior league, I ended up winning every single pole and race and become Indoor Karting News's driver of the month for the whole United States and Canada. I started racing these indoor karts in 2009 and continued to race indoors competing in numerous 3, 6, and 12 hour endurance races for about a year. That all changed when someone from outdoor karting came into the indoor track and saw how well i was doing and asked if i wanted to come and try out one of his karts, so I decided I wanted to go.
The day that I went to go drive his kart, my dad ended up buying me a senior racing kart that same day. After driving it about two more times, I was entered into my first ever race outdoors at F1 New Jersey. That first race ever I actually ended up winning which is where my whole outdoor karting career set off.
Since then I have competed in some of the top series in the United States such as Northeast Rotax regional series, New jersey Sprint Series, World Karting Association Manufacturer's Cup, Florida Winter Tour, Rotax max grand nationals, United States Pro Kart Series, and the F series Gearup Challenge and have driven Skip Barber Racing School Formula 2000 cars. I had good success in these different national, grand national, and regional series and pulling out a bunch of victories in the F1 New Jersey Club Series, Rotax regional series, New Jersey Sprint Series, And F series Gearup Challenge where i competed in the fastest TAG (touch-and-go) division in the country and ended up winning the 2013 championship! This was all followed up by strong runs in the Florida winter tour and United States Pro Kart Series, and numerous top 10 finishes and a podium finish in the WKA Manufacturer's Cup.
In 2014 I made the transition into cars where I competed in rounds 7&8 at Lime Rock Park and rounds 9&10 at Putnam Park in the Skip Barber formula car summer series. In my first two car races ever I have been able to achieve getting trophies in both races against some very high competition. I also have been running in the American Endurance Racing series in a spec BMW team where I have been driving a BMW race car in long, 9 hour endurance races all over the country. I hope to continue growing my resume with different types of race cars that I will drive.
In my racing career I have been able to visit some amazing places and have gotten to meet some extraordinary people. One of the most amazing experiences that i have experienced was being able to visit Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the amazing museum that is in the infield. I was also able to visit Racecraft1 And pitfit training where all of the top race car drivers in the country are trained. With these different experiences, I have learned to love traveling and visiting new places all over the country.
As far as goals go for my future and what type of race car I would want to end up driving, I can honestly say that I will drive anything that someone gives me a chance in. Whether it be an Indycar, Prototype, or a shopping cart, If someone believes in me and is willing to give me a chance, I will make sure that their name is on the podium. I will try my hardest every single time I would step foot inside that car. I am extremely motivated, passionate, determined, and driven to be a professional race car driver, and i will not stop until i get it, i can promise you that.
